History of Lecoupe Ice
Established in 1945, Lecoupe Ice started out as a small family owned business. The company is now proudly being operated by the Mensour families second and third generation. Lecoupe Ice is now the leading family owned manufacturer and distributor of packaged ice in Canada and has over 750 retail, commercial and industrial customers.
Founding of Lecoupe Ice
Lecoupe Ice was founded in 1945 by Mr. & Ms. Lecoupe. Shortly after its founding, Elias Mensour purchased the company and quickly established a reputation for providing quality product and exceptional service. The company's commitment to quality and service has been a hallmark of its success throughout its long history.
Growing to Meet Demand
In 1984, Lecoupe Ice began working with retail chains such as Walmart, Esso, and Sobeys. Under the leadership of Dan Mensour, the company's first expansion was initiated, and a new plant was set up on McKim St to produce 50 tons of ice per day. This expansion cemented the company's position as a leader in the industry.
Scaling Up Production
Lecoupe Ice expanded its operations with a new warehouse in the Val Caron industrial park. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment, this facility enables us to produce 100 tons of ice per day while maintaining our commitment to quality and service.
Streamlining & Scaling
Moving forward, Lecoupe Ice is committed to building a strong team and upholding the same values that have made us successful. We will continue to invest in our employees and uphold our commitment to quality, service, and community. Our goal is to continue growing while staying true to our principles and serving our customers to the best of our ability.
